Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Joe catered for our party of 10 for my father's 80th birthday at their home in Devon. We'd never had a private chef before, but it exceeded all our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble. 4 different main courses due to kids and dietary requirements. "The best venison I've ever had" was one person's comment. "When can we do it again?" was the 6 years old's comment (who even ate the lettuce). The food and style would not have been out of place in a Michelin-star restaurant. It was relaxed with a perfect pace to digest a 6-course dinner. Each time he has devised a great menu which was then superbly presented and wonderfully cooked helping to create memorable family celebrations. Having never experienced a private chef before, Joe not only met our expectations, but blew them away. Incredibly friendly and personable, there was nothing awkward about having Joe and Rob in the house. They accommodated adults, kids and the occasional dog wondering through the kitchen as they prepared food and completely put us at ease. Not only did they prepare the most delicious meal, but set the table, served the wine, presented each course with details of the sourcing / foraging of ingredients and left the kitchen immaculate afterwards as if they'd never been. Would absolutely use Joe again if the occasion arose - worth every penny. Thank you Joe and Rob!
